Mark yer calendars...this years reading of the entirety of Jack Kerouac's On the Road is just 4 days away!
Date : Saturday, October 16th, 2004
Same Location : The Grand Midway Hotel - 1303 Midway, Windber Pa 15963
Starting Time : 12 Noon
Last years reading took 11 hours! We had live jazz music, free coffee and food, '03 commemorative mugs, etc.
People came from as far away as Texas, Kansas, Connecticut and California! Our great guest of honor was
cinematographer and Beat associate Baird Bryant!
This years reading will again start at noon sharp and include live jazz, endless free coffee, new '04 commemorative mugs,
and guest of honor, musician and Beat associate, David Amram!
(Baird will be joining us again as well! Who knows what other interesting guests and special treats will yet surface!)
And of course we will again be reading from the massive scroll created just for the event.

So grab an old copy of On the Road, and start the book to get back in the mood. Isn't this the perfect excuse for a road trip?
